1. Understanding AC and DC electric currents and examples of their use
Electricity is energy that can be channeled through a conductor in the form of a cable, the presence of an electric current because an electric charge flows from the positive line to the negative line. In the life of an electric man has a very important role. In addition to being used as electric lighting, it is also used as an energy source for power and entertainment, for example, the use of electrical energy in the field of power is an electric motor. The existence of electricity is very important and vital, finally currently electricity is controlled by the state through a company called PLN.
Electricity itself is divided into two types, namely AC and DC electric current. In this short article, we will discuss what is meant by AC and DC electric current along with examples of the use of both. To make it easier for readers of this article, I will divide it into several parts, the first of which I will explain what is meant by AC electric current and examples of its use, then in the second I will discuss the meaning of DC electricity and examples of its use.
Definition of AC Electric Current
AC electric current (alternating current), is electricity whose magnitude and direction of current is always changing and alternating. AC electric current will form a wave called a sine wave or more complete sinusoida. In Indonesia itself, alternating electricity (AC) is maintained and under the auspices of PLN, Indonesia applies alternating electricity with a frequency of 50Hz. The standard voltage applied in Indonesia for 1 (one) phase alternating electricity is 220 volts. These voltages and frequencies are found in your home, unless you do not subscribe to PLN electricity.
Examples of the use of AC electricity
The use of AC electricity is actually very much. To make it easier for you to actually see the items in your home, note that all items that use PLN electricity mean that they have utilized AC electricity. As a safety for AC electricity in your home, usually PLN uses a barrier as well as a safety, namely the MCB (miniature circuit breaker). However, not all of the items you see use AC electricity, there is
some items that use PLN electricity but these items actually useDC electricity, for example laptops. Laptops use DC electricity , the electricity is obtained from the adapter contained in the laptop (or contained in the charger). So when you recharge the laptop battery with PLN (AC) electricity, the adapter in the laptop will convert AC electricity into DC, so that it is according to the needs of your laptop. Other examples of ac electrical energy utilization are: For washing machines, lighting (lamps), AC water pumps, air conditioners, air conditioners, electric stoves, and many more.
Definition of DC electric current
DC electric current (Direct current) is direct electric current. At first the current flow in DC electricity is said to flow from the positive end towards the negative end. Increasingly, the observations made by experts show that direct current is a current whose flow is from negative (electron) to positive pole. Now these flows cause the emergence of positively charged holes that are seen flowing from positive to negative.
Examples of DC electricity utilization
DC (direct current) electricity is usually used by electronic devices. Although there are some loads other than electronic devices that use DC current (for example; DC electric motors) however most DC currents are used for electronic load purposes. Some electronic loads that use DC electric current include: LED Lights (Light Emitting Diode), Computers, Laptops, TVs, Radios, and many more. In addition, DC electricity is also often stored in a battery, for example, batteries used to turn on wall clocks, toy cars and much more. In essence, most devices that use DC electricity are a load of electronic devices.
That's all, hopefully this short article will be useful for you. Speaking of electricity, let's go through this article I hope that we can all be wise in using electricity and save on it. If we save energy we can prevent or at least slow the occurrence of global warming that is getting worse.

Contoh penggunaan listrik AC
Penggunaan listrik AC sebenarnya sangat banyak.
Pengertian arus listrik DC
